got one of these lying around that has two pins missing for the CF card in the carrier, so going to have a go at fixing it as it owes me nothing & I like to understand these things.

Is there anywhere on the web that has any dismantling instructions? had a look but cant find anything, thought you guys might have come across something?

I believe 1.1.1 is the latest - you can get it here: http://www.canon.co.jp/imaging/eosdigital3/e4kr3_f...

There is also a hack available to give you spot metering and ISO3200 - jon on here pointed me to it and it's easy to do (it only works on the 400 though). There is a thread on how to do on POTN: http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php...

OP: No idea where to get instructions etc, but if you decide to go ahead with the dismantling then I'd love to see pics of the process!

Do you know what you are doing?

You could probably hack an old CF card reader and cannibalize it for a couple of pins.
