Anyone been watching the Lotus Elise documentry on the Discovery Channel. "M1-11". I take my hat off to the designers and engineers at Lotus for producing a great car. May be if those people at TVR watched this programme, they might learn something. The home of the boy racers and the rallymen of Wales

I doubt if anyone could make a programme, not even a series on the developement of a TVR of the modern era. Because there is no developement! They rely on the customers for that. The reasons for using the Rover VVC are given in the series. I am not a Rover fan, but that engine is the best 4 cyl engine on the market. Have you seen the programme? I considered buying an Elise but in the end the beauty and performance of the Griff tipped the scales. Elises are nice cars though, in the same way that poodles are nice dogs.

Was this the one that's been on before, last year, with the bit when the designers are told by the aerodynamic team that they have to put a spolier on it's rump to cure a handling problem and they don't like the idea?

"Elises are nice cars though, in the same way that poodles are nice dogs." My car is better than yours, my Dad is bigger than yours...... Is it just me? Or is there not quite a bit difference between a Griffith and an Elise, not just the £10k price tag!!! P.S. Was your TVR actually working today or was it broken down for a change?

So what's wrong with poodles? Pretty little things, dainty and nimble on their feet!
