Urgent salmon dish required!
Discussion
Before I start trawling through the recipe books, could does anybody have a suggestion for a salmon dish.
The OH has been helping me out with a number of things over the past few weeks and I would like to show my appreciation by whipping up a nice meal.
In the fridge there are some salmon fillets and I want to cook something a but different to a quicky salmon pasta which is what I'd normally do in this situation.
Any ideas?

Salmon, pesto and breadcrumbs... The OH has been helping me out with a number of things over the past few weeks and I would like to show my appreciation by whipping up a nice meal.

Add some veggy on the side? Brighter the colour the better.

salmon wrap
get a piece of foil and oil it
place salmon fillet in the middle
add;
- chopped shallots, chilli, sherry and honey
- chopped veg (mange tout, carrots, etc)
wrap up but leave plenty of room so it steams
bung in oven for 20 mins at 200 deg
serve with steamed buttered new potatoes with plenty of seasoning
peasy
My take on it get a piece of foil and oil it

Thanks for the suggestions guys, although the OH hates salmon en croute.
Perhaps I should have elaborated, I am temporarily house bound and we have now foil in the house! I have a full spice rack, oils etc but not much else.
Should I admit defeat and just get something delivered and crack open a bottle of champers?

Good man, even an injured hero such as myself can score some serious points with this
light curry sauce (A l'inde as the french call it) - blitz onions a clove of garlic until pasty. Fry, stirring in some curry powder (or home ground spices if you have them). Stir in some cream or creme fraiche.
poach the salmon, pour over sauce. serve with veg and rice.
alternate take on the same flavour: rub the salmon with tandoori spices / spice mix and grill. serve with raitha, rice, veg.
