Does anyone know what speeed the cameras are triggered at? Are there only speed cameras on the restricted speed area (between M40 and A3)? Do the speed cameras outside this area, use the average speed thing? How many points will you get for doing 90 on a 70mph area? Cheers Sam

I forgot to add this: Could you also get nicked in 4 places along the M25 by going on the trigger speed and get 12 points? Cheers Sam

Can't answer all of those, but a mate was done for doing 53 in a 50 zone on the M25 (restricted speed bit).

Sure about that ? Was under the impression that there was a 10% leeway in place i.e. not being nicked below 55mph ? Maybe Mr Robson could answer that...

So did he, but apparently those cameras are zero tolerance? He was done for it though, 3 points and all.

The official line is apparantly 10% + 2mph, but sometimes its a bit more, anyone for Russian Roulette, I do know but I,m not telling you don't know who reads these web sites do you?. As for me it all depends on the circumstances, condtions at the time etc, I am human, I am an individual, and I do like to be treated as such in return I then treat others the same way.
