sorry guys it must just be the laptop speakers that make it quiet for me... oh well ...

the camera was duct taped to the sun visor and I was surprised how steady it stayed, wind noise was not too bad but at a cost of covering the mic. Being mounted as high though does not do justice to the speed (legal at all times m'lud).

Its part of the route that I suggested to Longers. I have a few more minutes of footage but not sure it it would get watched ? I love watching it, but I'm sad...

OK well as it didnt bomb... heres part 2... its a bit crowded this time as there were two cars passed me the other way and yes those white wooly things at the side of the road are sheep

WOW... really fancy getting the cover off mine now!!! That sounds great!

Do you have any of the engine on tickover? Mine has a "ticking" or "tappety" noise, a friend of mine says that all V6's do this but I am not so sure!

Thanks Steve but to be honest theres so much going on under the bonnet even at tickover I doubt if you would be able to hear your ticking on a video... better to stand your car alongside another S to compare...

I was going to go for a quick blast but its siling down here, then i just found your vid and its almost as good a fix. Great drivers eye view and it saved getting the car wet!!!!!!!!!!

My S2 also had a tappety noise... and that was exactly what was causing it. An hour with the feeler gauges and spanner set soon cured it though.

Empty Roads ???? I saw at least five cars !!! thats crowded for up here mate... must have been rush hour at Deadwater

The hill climbed in the first clip and in the first half of the second clip is much steeper that it looks in the footage, but in the dry you can really press on. As you can see it was very wet and there was pine needle stuff on some of the corners which made it a bit interesting.

I'm sure you will enjoy this section, but as its at the end of your tour through Scotland you will already be accustomed to quiet roads.
