Ok, So I have got over the delay on GT5, What else is there?

The main reason I bought a PS3 was for GT5, so now I feel like a plumb. What other racing games are any good?
Im not a fan of the frenetic Need for speed style games as they ofer little in the way of realism.
Is Grid any good? or should I get stuck into Colin Mcrae, (which I had avoided as GT5 is supposed to have a rally section)

I'm sorry mate, i bought a ps3 for GT5 like you and it still isn't here so i've just ordered a 360
with Forza 3. The wait for a true racing game has gone on to long. Anyway back to your question:
Burnout Paradise is good fun, Dirt 2 imho is brilliant but still not a simulator BUT if you want a simulator Supercar Challenge is surprisingly good.
Or buy a 360 and Forza.

it doesnt get used for gaming at all as the online experiance is ALWAYS better on 360 
OMG suprised noones mentioned F1CE (F1 Championship Edition)
It was written FOR the PS3, seems real enough for me on ma G25 (using the paddle shift of course)
the racing in the rain is amazing
graphics are great - look on youtube
bit too realistic with damage switched on tho - slight touch and you lose a wheel/spoiler etc

Why punish yourself with buying a game like grid when you heart isnt in it, because you wont enjoy it as you will alway's compare it to something else.
So what would i do hmmm???
If cash was an issue i would sell the Ps3 and buy the 360 and forza, See how it goes you wont be dissapointed,
Then when they finally decide to release GT5 go back, If your not hooked on the 360 that is.
Personally i think sony know they are fighting a losing battle with microsoft, but it seems to me they arent doing anything about it, with the release of forza and soon to be modern warfare 2, my 3 friends who used to own ps3 have gone 360 soley for multiplayer.
