From Texas vette club featuring some good videos amongst is a nice 'Street Racer' C5 running in the 9's (Lou Gigliotti 9.49 @ 138mph)

Nice vids.

That LGM car is an all out-race car which is tubed - wonder if it is street legal?

It do's say 'Street' somewhere in there,,they appear to be a right wild bunch that Texas lot..fair play to them.

Yeah, it says 'street' in the title above the LGM vids, but I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the case, given how strict USA and car laws (including car modification laws) are.

No problem (with the can't give you a clean answer on that mate statement).
Likewise (with the out-of-shape statement).

If I ever lived in USA, I'd live in Houston - lots of competition there: big power Vettes, big power Vipers, some quick F-Bodys, and some quick Supras. And even better is the fact that there are no smog checks on cars so I can have a car that pollutes a lot, I won't get into trouble. Only way to own a powerful car, unless you do 'under the table' deals. And I won't get conned by JH if I owned a Viper and sent it to him (he doesn't con people who lives in Tx., the same state as him). A big IF.
