Where to send rrod 360?

Basically, log onto xbox.com you should see on the right side of the page, register my console for repair. Then you register your console, press the button under the support bit to send your console away. It will probably say 'out of warranty' but for RROD there is 3 years so you should be ok. WHen you register your console they will email you a UPS label, You then just find a box, set up a collection on the UPS website and they collect.
Usually they take around 2 weeks, sometimes quicker though, mine was around 10days. Good luck!!
They may give you a new one, my last one was replaced. Strangely though, they dont extend warranty even with a 'new' unit.
Complain to xbox, i did, they sent me a nice email saying they will call me and nothing ever came of it. b

Not criticising, just asking.How long has it been this way? The reason i ask is because back in april, my Elite RROD'd just as i started to play GTA:TLAD. I was that desperate to play it that i bought a brand new xbox elite, and then planned to sell my previous one (which i later sent off to be repaired) to a freind to recoup some of the cash. When i bought my new one, i read the warranty and it said that for the first year, the warranty would apply to GAME and that if i have any problems with the console, i can take it into the store and get a straight swap. After the first year, i then have a further TWO years warranty which then applys to Xbox/Microsoft.
When my previous one arrived from repair, it came with a letter saying "sorry about the fault *blah blah blah*" and then went on to mention that "your console now has an extended 3 year warranty as from April 2009", which i was rather pleased about. So, does this that the repaired console i sold my buddy will NOT have the 3 year warranty as originally stated?

I'm just going by what a friend told me when his elite suffered rrod. It should be guaranteed for a year from whatever shop it was purchased from, with the Elite there is an optional extended warranty for about £30.
All xboxes have a 3 year warranty for specific faults, namely the "RROD" and "error 74" faults. Stuff like the DVD drive and other faults only have the standard 1 year warranty and if you send it back for one of these outside that year they will charge you for the repair.
Re complaints: trying to complain to Microsoft after they refused to fix my in warranty RROD 360 was the single most painful consumer experience that I've ever had. They resolutely refused to acknowledge that I was complaining, told
me to get stuffed on 6 occasions and generally treated me like scum. I got absolutely no where. And yet I bought another one. Which RROD'd straight out of the box.
To the OP: sign into the Microsoft xbox uk site and go to customer services. You enter in you consoles serial number and then request a repair. It's quite straighforwards, provided they actually agree to fix your console.

i need to find that thread too. Mine rrod'd for the second time today, a month or two inside the three years.
Went straight out and picked up an elite value pack, swapped drive over and back on with fm3. Need to get a transfer cable kit and get the old one sold when it comes back.
The elite is so much quieter.
