Forza3, Xbox - novice advice needed - please!

Years ago I used to play computer games - Geoff Crammonds (sp) GP - and, to be honest, was crap even with the Microsoft force feed back wheel & pedal thingy.

But a few days ago my 21 year old son said I must have a go on the Forza 3 game on his X box. He promised it would be better and easy for me.

Dam it, he was right!

So I started a 'season' and finding it a bit to easy, so I'd guess I must be doing something wrong!

Only driving saloon cars, most assists turned off apart from auto gears.
I've even got used to having no ABS and found it quite easy - as I said I must be doing something wrong!
I know I'm not that good!

So my question is - do I stick with it until I get to drive some nice stuff or what?
And when will I get bored with it, so I can stop trying everyday to get quicker?

We've been playing for about 6 hrs on and off and started on the 'casual' driver section. Started with a crappy fiesta thing but soon won/gained some better cars nothing great but stuff like Mustang, VXR, think we have just got Elise. Stick with it, if you get a bit bored, go off and do I quick race or hot lap in something tasty then go back to the championship, give yourself something to work towards.

What level is the AI set at?

Bored? I've been playing Forza 2 a lot until recently, when Forza 3 came out . As well as the assists, there is an AI difficulty setting, I know what you mean about it seeming easy, and I'm not the best game driver in the world by a long shot, but there is a hard setting that is definitely more of a challenge. That is, unless you are already driving on hard difficulty, and finding it easy... in which case, I hate you!

OK quick update - just watching son playing online with him work mates.

I can do this

He's driving a TVR and it hasn't broken once!

Set the AI to Hard and pick a car no more than 20 PI above that of the computer cars. if you're still finding it dead easy, maybe consider taking up professional racing driving.

Indeed. I have to drive the balls off the thing to take more than a second a lap out of the AI on hard. Admittedly, I'm crap.
