Hi

Before anyone says, i have searched and can only really find reference to "..many ph'ers have ordered from them.."

I'm looking at getting a new Ford focus - from the dealer list price with my extras is £16.520.

Looking on drivethedeal.com brings it to £12,721 - almost £4,000 cheaper!

Has anyone had any good / bad dealings with them?

It seems that all they do is put the dealer in contact with me - then from then on its asif I called / walked into the dealer?

Only thing i would worry about is incase its a bogus dealer or something! Haven't bought anything quite so pricey before...!

Thanks guys!

xx

Used them years and years ago for a Yaris.

All good, car arrived, clean and on time.

My brother used them to get his Aygo. I think he just phoned the dealer and then went down to the dealer and picked it up.

I bought a Skoda Fabia VRS with lots of extras in 2005.
You pay drivethedeal a deposit and pay the balance to the supplying dealer on delivery or collection.
The whole process was easy, and saved me £2000.
My Dad bought a Audi S4 for just £35000 with some extras at the same time, they saved him £5000.

Go for it.thumbup

Sounds all good to me!

It says that there is £1,200 saving included if you use their finance..

Any ideas if it'll be a good idea to get that, then try and pay the finance off almost straight away?

Depends on if there are any early payment charges

Rarely is it a good idea to pay finance off straight away, because they will ask for the loan amount + lost interest + "Early settlement fee"

Of course it's bullst, but you can't argue with it. Just do the maths and work out what is cheapest. Finance CAN be cheaper in some circumstances.

Got my current car through them, no hassle, excellent service and you can actually speak to a guy on the phone there that knows what he's talking about. Once agreed, your contact is with the dealer but as noted above they appreciate you keeping it quiet.

My local Volvo dealer's "Cutting My Own Throat, I'm Making No Profit Here" price was £2k above what I paid - their retail sales guy got quite miffed when I phoned him with the Drivethedeal price to see if he would match it and tried to get me to divulge the name of the other dealer. Still, I had limited sympathy...

Looks like the ford finance is only on options.. to change the car after 3 years, or pay more to keep it!

I think it would work out spending the extra £1,200, as it still makes it £2,000 than the locals "best deal!"

Try acesales. They are always cheapest for Ford.
Its for Military, but I got a friend a Fiesta at our local dealer as they matched the price.
If you know someone in the military they can get it for you, so long as its a UK tax paid price.

Coming up at "NEW TOTAL: £14566 Incl. VAT + Options"

So similar, but 600 more, and that's selected cash purchase (and includes the additional £1,200 from drivethedeal cash buys)- but it was a good idea!

Tip from a dealer: Go and buy drivethedeal's car.

It's losing a lot of money when i stick it through the price calculator.

even if I have to pay the extra £1200 as I don't want ford option finance?

Broadspeed are looking at delivery times for me, but I prefer the drivethedeal one, plus it's cheaper!!

You'll not get a deal close without the finance deposit allowance.

Top tip: Finance £3500 pay one months rental then pay it off. That will get you the £1200 FDA.
