Help - How to use Betamate 7120 adhesvie
Discussion
Am putting head light cover on my front clip and with sent this adhesive and do not know how to use it. It came with a small bottle of primer and a 300 cc tube which rattles like a paint can. In my reading it appears you tape off the inside edge of the covers and paint them with the prime. Is this correct?? Then use the adhesive tube on the front clip to glue the light covers to the clip. The tube rattle do you take the cap off the bottom of the tube?? Why does it rattle?? Thanks in advance, John
The primer will have a foam applicator in the lid. If you have a steady hand you can apply it without masking. If you mask you must get it really firmly rubbed down as the primer is very thin and will run under. Steady hand is better.
The tube is, I assume, to go in a mastic gun. In which case the rattle is a small desiccator pack under the ali cover on the tube end which all has to be removed.

mine did not have the foam applicator and I agree with Steve that regular masking tape is no good. There is the very thin tape that the professional painters
are using that will do and also allow for very small radius. It is worth getting that you will need it also for the side screens if you have a canam
