If you've got an Amex card try American Express Insurance. They were second cheapest (after Direct Line) for my Porsche. I went with them as (unlike Direct Line) they cover track days and provide a rental car during repairs in the event of the unthinkable happening.
Either of these two was many hundreds of squid cheaper than the next. A-Plan insisted on the car being garaged! (Mine's a Driveway car). They ALL seem to insist on Tracker or similar.
I'm paying about £1100 for my Boxster S in the RG20s postcode. Dircet Line got it under a grand but no track-days.
Errr. That's what I know. Hope this helps.

I insured with Tesco.com.
I have heard from a number of sources that the cover is pretty good, well underwritten etc.
Tracker was a requirement, but IMHO this is good idea for a porker anyway.
I am 25 and I insured a boxster for under a grand in the city centre of glasgow with Protected NC.
give them a try online, i takes about 5 mins.
Good Luck.
