PSP - worth getting?

I had a PSP when it first came out and had to import it from Japan. I used to use homebrew apps but stopped commuting and sold it while the early ones were still worth good money. The choice of games was pretty slim back then.

So, have things moved on in terms of games/gameplay? I'm doing a bit more travelling now so am thinking about getting another.
