I do try and arrange regular karting in the mids
Although may not bother again as rampant apathy seems to be the response at the moment

How about an impromptu meeting at Newark showground for the classic car/autojumble event? www.pff-uk.info
I know its last minute but if you've nothing better on then I'll see you there. Go into the exhibitors entrance rather than the public car park and show off your cars.

If I hadnt had an accident in November that I will no doubt be paying for deep into 2005 - I would be there.

No reason why we cant use it as a meet point, we normally have a buffet after etc plus anyone not karting will get a good giggle watching the rest of us chuck it at the scenery
Anyway good luck in pulling something together as I have found it a nightmare of late

I should have mentioned - its today.
See all you East Midlanders there who haven't anything else planned. Or can anyone suggest the place to be today?

Leicestershire/East Midlands here. Definitely up for a meet depending on where and when.
Dontlift - would it be okay to come and watch the karting? ive driven on that circuit before, fantastic set up! funds are a little low to the ground at the moment though, but id love to come and watch and the next one id love to come and have a go.

aarrghh.. wasn't appointing myself organiser... noooo
just wanted to see how many of us there were in the mids.
what's the status of the karting event..?
just looked on the map, and it's only 1/2 an hour from me.. so I'd love to come.. don't know if I can afford to participate yet though... does it all have to be booked well in advance?
as you said.. good idea for us to all meet there anyway, as a meet&greet even if just watching the karting..
P.S. last time I went karting I was 14... so I am well and truly in the 'beginner' ranks.. does this matter??

Worcester based, work in Brum
Just seen your profile - any jobs going? I would love to get into "car borrowing"
If you work in the motor trade in Birmingham at all do you happen to know if there are any jobs for skint students to work after school/ weekends. Long shot I know, but I really need to get an Elise before im 21...
Will probably have to be a shelf muppet at tescos otherwise.
Anyway - any suggestions for a meet somewhere in the midlands? Nothing seems to happen around here for under £40...

Karting looks like a no go....
only 3-7 people up for it, and I have to put 400quid down on the circuit to book it so minimum of 10 people required.
