Nice car, but somewhat lacking I think... Didn't have the same road presence as a 360 for example, which is most un-lamborghini...

Not what I expected at all - Think you made he right choice Ninja!

Disagree. Much more presence than a 360. Gallardo is a sweet ride.

Nah, 360 has the ability to be subtle and obvious at the same time. The Gallardo, to me, seems to dilute the brand a tad. Nothing wrong with that though as it forces everyone else to up their game. It just doesn't seem to evoke anything

I always liked the exclusivity the Diablo had. No matter how many you saw in one day(got to be on Bond St, W1 Saturday afternoon)it always looked simply stunning with amazing road presence. Even if you see an early example tomorrow you'd never believe that you can have one for 50k or less.

As for the Murci. Witnessing this beast navigate its way around Kensington is something else. However, seeing them in the U.S is not the same. Most are bought by people who simply have the readies and know v.little about the marque. I avoid taking my camera with me when I go to the beach to save my fellow PHers from the blasphemous things people do to the Murci here. Nothing is sacred here. Bentleys, Fezzas, Ghinis, Rollers..... desecrated.

Back on topic...ish: Just played the free DVD with last months Top Gear. The Zonda destroys the Murci, I was gobsmacked. I saw my mates one just after it arrived in Asia. Too rub it in it was parked just behind his just CLK GTR. Now his Enzo has joined the party. It makes me sick

Nah, i disagree. i cant stand the 360.

I guess you havent seen the new vid where the Murci beats the Zonda. Actually, the Murci sets the fastest time of all.

IMO... The 360 looks fantastic but its semi-common in London where I live. The Gallardo is something new and its a Lamborghini which will always bring the specialness that comes from Lamborghini.

At the end of the day, this world would be damn boring if everyone had the same opinion!

Yeh thats exactly the feeling I had. Saw it go past (the black one you saw is probably the same one I see, its always parked in the NCP near my apartment in Bayswater) and only realised it was the Gallardo coz it sounded a lot meaner than a standard car. Saw the back as the driver gunned it and realised it still looks way too much like a celica for my liking. It did seem to shift though!!

That car is for sale at dealer in swiss cottage, who also has a 360 spider, and a 996TT, all in black, lined up together. I still think the 360 looks more special, and would also choose the 996TT over the Gallardo. £40K difference is enough to make one mean bastard of a 996

Read your thread on the U.S forum link posted in your profile. All I can say is "bloody hell". Not quite sure how you keep your sanity conversing with that bunch. F**k, all you did was share your collection with the forum and they felt the need and the to insult and contradict anything you said. Not going to get that here. Nice Ghini by the way. What is the kick like in a Diablo with Nitros? What's the stability of the car like when you use it(the Nos)?

Haven't seen the Murci beating the Zonda. That would surely have to be down to driver ability as the Zonda is in a different league of acceleration. I'm not sure if the Topgear clip on uploaded anywhere but I was really suprised of the apparent gap between the two. Both lovely motors which would be welcome in my in my house

Ninja, I've obviously not checked your profile for a while. YOU F**KING BEAUTY! NICE ONE

360s are certainly semi-common (seen 3 today) but with a Tubi and in Rosso Corsa, I think they are just divine.

The Murci really does look very special, and worth every penny of its £170k asking price for its looks alone IMHO, but the Gallardo just doesn't do it for me!

But yes, if we all though the same the world would be a very dull place indeed!

in a recent poll in ferrari chat actually 70% had a preference for the 355 against 360.

I think the frony profile of the 360 is not nice at all.

Problem with the gallardo is its just not supercar enough- in looks at least. Im sure it is a more capable day to day machine than a 360 if somewhat lacking the involvement of a ferrari.

But the back of the car is just awfull

Oh i dont care about most of those guys. Just little kids.

The Diablo on Nitrous is very stable and puts the power to the ground very well. If i up the jets to a 200shot, it gets sideways at 100mph. Thats fun.

I can only imagine the fun. When I'm over near you you'll have to show me. 100mph, sideways whilst almost lying down should be something special.

Enjoy what you have while you have it.

Just got home from a little sprint around Colins and Lincoln in South Beach. Saw 7 360s, 3 355s and 2 Diablos and 2 Murcis within 30 mins. Oh and a Pantera.

It is however the Diablo that steals the show. The 360 just seems to blend into its surroundings. The mean looking VT 6.0 that was parked had everyone standing and staring. The custom wheels the owner fitted ruined it slightly though. It's very strange how small the Murci and the Diablos look on U.S roads(well Floridian roads). Back home they simply own the lane.

Bloody hell. Everytime I want to work out my left calf muscle I go to SoBe. 1st, 2nd, 1st, 2nd all the way down Collins. Lots of totty, as usual, looking for trouble tonight.
