Mercedes Dirty Headlights

My 04 S320 CDi has 'dirty' headlights. Ive noticed alot of other S class Mercedes from the same sort of year with the same problem, headlights appear blackened....

Any ideas on cause? It seems like they get dirty from the inside, god knows how??????

Can the lights be dismantled and cleaned?????

I have searched the net for half an hour about info on this and cant find a thing.

I have seen this on the S Class. Is it the lights looking a little yellow? If so look here
