Hi I have a mini mac playing lossless music into phono input on a stereo amp. Can anyone recommend a DAC to improve the sound before the amp or am I better of running an optical feed to a new amp. Any recommendations on amp / DAC (only running stereo) budget about £200. Many thanks in advance.

I've just bought a Cambridge DACMagic to use with an Airport express, I'm very impressed so far, much better than an iPOD into a docking station or than my Denon DVD3910 playing CDs. In some ways it betters my old Naim CD5 with Hi-Cap, even...
