Photoshop tutorial (removing objects)

Can anyone recommend any good tutorials.

I have experimented with the Clone Stamp tool this weekend with some good results but was wondering if there are any other methods for more intricate details? Or does this just involve using a smaller brush?

You can try different size brushes, different softnesses and also different opacities. But some things are effectively impossible to clone.
