Plating

Saw a mention of plating on the clutch thread . Only use BZP [bright zinc plate ] . This gives only a very thin smear of zinc so the nuts go back on . Also DON'T plate anything which is spring material or high tensile steel . I did this once with BZP and the metal was brittle afterwards . Everything snapped like carrots and I wasted a load of irreplaceable 1959 Aston bits !
