Well I've done it now, just bought my first TVR and got the Tuscan, Crystal Topaz with grey hide and 18 spiders with the famous sports exhaust "CCC", it's 16 months old and I took delivery yesterday.

Only driven home and back and I have a few niggles nothing serious though, door window opens automatically when cornering, reverse light flickers when changing gear and it's on charge outside with the wheel off at the moment. I have read through the posts on this site and got most of the answers, just adjustments to switches from what I can tell, being 16 months old would the dealer look at this under warranty ? I bought the car privately.

Does anyone know about this car it was on a private number G12 TVR and it's now on VU52SDO ?

I have been looking at this site for around two years and following a lot Tuscan postings, even when owning other cars, so thanks to all who posted nice things about the Tuscans, and to those who did'nt I have had lots of sleepless nights wondering (only joking), I love it, lots & lots. THANKS TO ALL, I hope to meet with some of the owners and Pistonheads members this year.

Well done, i know the feeling i've had mine for 4 months now and honestly its the best thing since sliced bread. I did crap myself the first couple of journeys and everything was blurey when i put my foot down. Get ready to spend your weekends giving test drives i've done 30 so far. I have had a few niggles but to be honest it could have 3 rebuilds in a year and it wouldn't bother me. Well done again

That bit won't go away hopefully
I still have bouts of anal winking when the back end loses traction in 2nd on dry roads at about 5500rpm on full throttle and goes sideways. And that's with hydratrack fitted. Jeez!!!

Congrats on your purchase.

Just to make your life a little easier - not sure if I picked you up wrong, but if you have the front wheel off in order to charge the battery you don't need to. There is a little two prong connector underneath the car on the passenger side just aft of the front wheel. It has a black plastic cover tagged onto the chasis with a loop of wire. Under said cover you'll find a battery connector. The spade at the front is +ve & the spade toward the back -ve. You can clip on your leads here and save the wheel removal.

No need for one of those overpriced charger leads to plug in either. Apologies if you already knew all that!

Enjoy
Gary.

Thanks for the welcome everyone, I found out they are tail happy in the frost the other morning !

Gary, I did not know about the battery block, I thought you had to buy a special TVR connector to use that, you have saved me the time of taking the wheel off in the future, and money, thanks!

Anyone know how easy it is to get the engine cover off, I know how to remove the small bonnet to check the levels, but is it a lot more complicated to take off the engine cover ?
