Insurance - who are you with?
Discussion
Morning all,
The inusrance on my wife's SLK280 is coming up for renewal at the end of the month. For the last few years, we've used Daimler Insurance, but I'm not happy with their renewal quote, especially as my wife has a good no claims history... so we'll be hunting around for a better deal...
Would anyone care to suggest any companies or brokers we can approach?
Thanks,
John

I am now using a broker in Birmingham.

They gave me a good price earlier this year for the SLK32 which was £360 approx FC.
Lady SLacKer was using Mercedes insurance for a while but the premium is just to high so we dropped em.

I use Direct Line who have always been quite good for me and the wife, currently we have an 03 ML270 and a 92 CE230 insured in her name and an 07 911 C2S in my name. They do seem open to a bit of negotiation on price but that may be due to having been with them for nearly 10years and also having house insurance with them.
As a guideline, my wife has currently got 3 years no-claims (she was previously just on my insurance) and no points etc and pays about £250 for the CE and £375 for the ML which are both in her name. This is fully comp and one of them she effectively has no no-claims for, I can't remember which.
HTH.

Hi again,
Thanks to all who posted, much appreciated. Tried a variety including some of those mentioned above, and decided to go with a Zurich policy through brokers First Point Insurance. Premium £210 cheaper than quote from Daimler... same terms, protected NCB, lower excess, premium split into three interest free monthly payments ... no brainer...
Thanks again...
