CD Auto-Changer
Discussion
I am looking at upgrading the standard Pioneer single disc unit for a multi-play version. Does anyone know if the cabling between the head unit and auto-changer is already in place or if not what is the best routing? As the carpet is stuck done I assume this means teasing the carpet away from GRP and later re-adhering?
remove the carpet from the passenger side footwell and at the bottom you will see a hole through which cables can run into and through the sill. Behind the door you will find the carpet is velcro'd in place to facilitate access to the door catch mechanism. Here you will be able to feed a stiff wire (fishing rod end section?) through the sill and draw wires through. Then pass them over the rear wheel arch and into the boot. Easy eh
rich...

I've just been browsing for an autochanger for mine.
Any suggestions on siting? The only one I've seen was right at the back of the boot, in the middle, sat on top of the fuel tank I guess (use short screws!!) Looked OK to me, pretty much out of the way, but any alternatives in use out there?
Cheers,
Andy

RE: autochanger positioning.
Cheers all. Think I'll get a 6CD changer and put it behind passenger seat to begin with, probably in a plastic bag though! May put it in the boot later as it's possibly a little more secure for leaving with the roof down (debatable!) Can't use the cubby hole for much else as pass. seat is always right back due to lack of legroom on that side.
