Pro's and cons of owning a chim... & what to look out for.

Hi guys and girls,

As topic states really. A friend of mine (who was born in blackpool) has always been a Tiv fan. After my purchase of a T350, he has fallen even more for the brand. I have advised that a chim would be a good starter car to the brand but would like some info on this beast for things to look for when looking and test driving etc.

As has been said before many times, buy on condition, condition, condition....

Your mate should go and see as many as possible, all TVR owners I've met are friendly and helpful and will give more valuable advice, then before long he'll know a right un from a wrong un.

Regardless of mileage, I'd recommend checking the chassis (well the bit you can see anyway). Don't worry about stone chips, they all have them. Check the normal stuff like the V5, chassis number, registered address, service history etc. After that it's all about personal preferences (colour schemes etc) and condition.

mmmm afraid not.....the Griffith was then, is now and always will be the only option HTH
