I'm really surprised they should be doing this. I concur with previous postings in that the job's really well done. It's also great fun. The problem is that the elise is already much too fussy a design. Mk1 was already a quite complicated a shape, and the latest simply isn't long enough to fit all those details in, in my opinion.
Please lotus, bring a degree of simplicity and purety to the looks of your products.
Whining aside, I still love the company, and every lotus ever.

It was just a quick and effective publicity stunt to set them apart from the other dross at the show which I think has worked pretty well.

It may have just been a one-shot, but I've also seen myself checking out this picture every night since it appeared. If I were to buy an Elise, this would be the one I would ultimately want. The paint scheme is just unbeleivably good.

Loads of places do excellent custom paint jobs of all sorts...there's a guy living in Hatfield (who may well be a deity incognito) who did an 'Aliens' job on a Kawasaki that would have to be seen to be believed. Something as relatively simple as that Tiger stripe wouldn't set you back that much either! Im still really tempted to get my elise painted up in some dark and disturning way - just have to decide what! Ted - maybe all the graphic/design geniuses on here could do me design as a competetition?!

Info update of tiger Elise:
The Tiger is a promotion car for the swiss lotus dealers and will be driven by VIPs in the Lotus Elise Swiss Trophy. So it is a unique car and Lotus Cars Ltd. agreed to show the car the public. So wheat and see the car in motion, it’s even better then!
