cold start problems with 111r
Discussion
we bought a 2007 elise 111r in the uk last year and my wife was driving the car since, a few months after we had it she has problems with cold start. the car is not taking the gas properly and sometimes even dies when cold. The german dealer is helpless and i wonder if either the water sensor or air temp sensor is not working right so the start fueling is not working.
any help would be much appreciated

Are you letting the fuel pump prime? I.e. turn the key and you hear a high pitched noise coming from behind that lasts about 3 seconds.
If I don't let this sound finish before turning the ignition then it really doesn't like it and struggles to start, takes several full cranks.
I've noticed this with mine too. Also, I've noticed that sometimes it doesn't "prime" at all - usually after you've unlocked it and then let the immobiliser light come back on.If I don't let this sound finish before turning the ignition then it really doesn't like it and struggles to start, takes several full cranks.
Other than this, mine hasn't missed a beat once, so can only assume something is amiss.
Hope this helps
