It's a good thing. Trust me. I've had the odd post removed and the odd thread deleted. For the very most part it keeps this forum the way it is. Which is a darn sight better than any other one I have encountered.
If you fancy a visit to a less strict forum then there are plenty to choose from. And the cool thing is you can post on here as well!

The mods can sometimes shoot first, think later, here but as a rule they get the balancing act just about right.
There are many very good reasons why there are so many very regular posters and the moderation of the site is one of them.
There are, as others have pointed out, many other parts of the WWW where one can exercise one's more irrelevant and childish sides
