Recce for south coast "kent run" style event
Discussion
If anyone that has been on Jay's Kent runs, will know what a great laugh they are, and what a good job he does putting them together. I've been on 3 now, and they have been some of the best days I've had in my car. The down side is getting up at silly oclock to get to Kent for 5.15 on a sunday morning. Although to be fair, thats' not too bad, it's the drive home. Driving home at a steady pace is hard work concentrating, after an early start and driving all morning with the adrenaline flowing. Whenever I'm bored, I just get in my car and drive. There's no need to wait for Jay's next one, although I can't wait for it as it's always tops. We have some great roads of our own down here. We could organise one ourselves, and end up at a pub for a meet and a BBQ or lunch. Anyone that doesn't feel like setting off at 5.30, can just meet us at the pub. Anyone that wants to get together and sort a route out, let me know. Also would many people be interested in such an event?

I wouldn't get out of bed at that time on a Sunday morning if I'd s

Vin, we did a few of these over the summer. I would def be up for some more but i think the future months weather may not be so ideal. Its very annoying to plan a run, get everyone in on it and then wake up to find rain and wet roads. May be an idea to plan some routes and post for some spring runs early next year.
Just a thought.
Just a thought.
The West Sussex Ring
Here is a route that I have driven, start and end at Sainsbury Chichester, approx, 30 miles, and virtually free from known speed camera's, Excellent

Could be tempted by Doormans idea as it aint too far. The problem that Dorest PH'ers like myself have is that they are almost in the South West forum and alot of the South Coast stuff is too far East to be viable, likewise the South West meets are often in Bristol, Cornwall and other far off areas. If anyone from the 'saaaaffff' can make it to Dorset and Hampshires New Forest then i can highly recomend it. Fantastic roads and plenty of Pubs.

Certainly agree with the latter, but most of the roads are 40mph limits! Edited by minimatt1967 on Tuesday 27th October 07:40
