Search broken in the mornings?

Seems to be for the past few days, maybe a week, search either times out or I get the "Oops" message.

What sort of time is this happening? Are you talking before 5 in the morning or after?

I'd guess I probably start trying it around 8:00 or 8:30 onwards.

I've just tried it before replying to you, and that's the first time this morning it's worked. For me, anyway.

Also, after that reply I clicked "return to topic" and got "nothing to see here".

Maybe something not quite in sync somewhere.

I'll have a look tomorrow, it is possible that the search database is being switched to live before it has finished updating which would cause the symptoms you describe.

Seemed to work yesterday, but timing out for me again today ~08:36.

what were you searching for this morning? I'll have a look through the error logs and see if I can exactly what happened.

Same again this morning - tried twice and it timed out once and "oops" the second.

Got a couple of "oops" for my stuff and what's new as well.

I'm still looking into it, but haven't figured out the cause yet.

not working when i tried tis morning and just now

Search seems to be back up but it's not giving me any results, times out with an error after hanging for a long time (left the PC to make dinner, eat it, watch Eggheads, drink tea, eat a bit more) about an hour later.

Seems to be working, in as much as it doesn't time out and doesn't error, but I seem to get "None found" whatever I search for.

Stop working now, or rather I have put Ebay and BMW into the search and it comes back 'none found' uzzled:
