Sometimes, not very often, I wish I was back in the UK.

John and I have been going racing for years ( 1970 !!). Gt racing is brill as it gives you a chance to see real racing cars at full chat. There is nothing like it except perhaps Le Mans and ALMS these days. The only downside tends to be small grids but nonetheless it is loud, fast and exciting.

If you fancy going, I am always up for it ( and the racing?)Thruxton is a good track and Silverstone and Brands are only up the road. There is often a big meet at Donnington where some of the international teams come over but I am not too sure if it is on this year. I cancelled my subscription to Autosport due to it being totally preoccupied with F1 and idiot German drivers!

www.embassyracing.com is the new vette team, followed the GT for a number of years good racing with some decent support races to, FIA GT is not to be missed.
Good thing is it a bit more relaxed and if your there early enough you can walk around the pits and chat to the teams/drivers, unlike F1

In recent years the UK Brit GT vette team always seem to struggle against the mighty Listers and Saleens. The atomic kitten car only ran a few races then seem to disappear, prefering static shows instead

Viper - there were 2 Atomic Kitten cars but I only ever saw one in Geoff's shop. The team was run by a crook and obviously (now) never destined to last long.

Email me privately for the full unexpagated story of the Atomic Kitten cars and the robbing cheating lying b*****d that owned the team (and his two mates), may there private parts fester at the corners and fall off!!

The GT C5 that was "owned" by Atomic Kitten is the car that Xero ran last year in British GT, the last I heard of the other car, which was a SCCA Motorola Cup car, it was in a lock up in the Manchester area less the engine, trans and brakes, sat on axle stands in a very sad and sorry state.

It looks like the Embassy car is new, I am a little supprised that they claim 460 bhp from a 6.0 ltr Z06 based engine. The Xero car did 550 bhp and that was a 5.7 LS1 based engine.

Take a VERY long time for that one to heal Nige, sorry if I'm being a bore. Still have the shot gun handy just in case I meet the aforementioned gent (with a very small g).

Apparently in certain circles you can have somone "put away" for around £1500.00, seems like a wise investment................just kidding!!!
