Braided hoses - S2 (ABS) with clam on?

Right, I am posting this on here, SELOC and Exiges.com to try to get a definative answer.

I've been putting this off for a couple of years as some/most people say you cannot replace the hoses on an ABS car without the front clam coming off.

Issue being the ABS unit and pipework is in the way. Others say it can be done but don't explain how!

So, once and for all. Can you change all 4 hoses on an ABS car without removing the front clam?

If so, how??
