HT Leads for '98 Griff
Discussion
Hope someone has experience they can pass on.
Advised I need new HT leasd as they are breaking down under load, been recommended Magnecor wires, by 2 TVR drivers. Magnecor recommend 8.5mm KV85 Competition Cable or 8mm Electrosports 80 Cable, the only difference being price and greater heat protection for the 8.5mm; I drive almost exclusively on road, may do a couple of track things this year - what's the best cable to go for?
They come with a 10 year warranty - do my existing factory fitted wires have warranty on them from OEM?
Thanks

I'm a bit of a muppet when it comes to this subject, I use standard RR classic oem leads which cost about £24 a set, they last a year or so, when they play up ditch them and start again
.
I think that the extenders can be had for about £3 each, check with Tim at ACT, same for the magnecors whatsits here|www.actproducts.co.uk

I've got red ones on the cerb, I think it's Magnecor (bout 90 quid or so a set maybe). They were put on at the last service cause one of the oem leads had melted at the plug and was misfiring. I haven't really checked them but I'll have a look at the next service and see what condition they are in. No problems so far that I've noticed.
Mine are RED leads on a Griff 500 1995. I must admit I did notice a difference, but then again one of my leads had almost sheared through and was possibly not being the most efficient at transporting current.
I also ordered them from Tim at ACT and had excellent next day service.
