Chaps,

I need to get a new turbo tomorrow (Passat/A4) so I am going to try and get one from a scrappy.

Apart from Pease Pottage, where else is decent?

Silverlake as above ( http://www.silverlakeautoparts.co.uk/ ) or might be worth phoning G+R Harris near Chichester ( http://www.grharris.co.uk/ ) 01243 372866. Their website isn't worth the pixel waste so a phonecall would be better.

It's in Dorset though.

Looks like their website is being re-jigged but their number is on there at the bottom.

I wouldn't say they are very good! Service is lousy and they often have no idea what they have,or often tell you they have it and lie blindly to you when you get there.
However, they stand the best chance of having what you need!

I find it's the other way, they always swear blind they don't have it. When I was after a stalk for my 800 they had no 800s in, when I went back the second time and they still said that, I could SEE 2 800s in the racking. Always go and look rather than relying on the monkey at the desk tongue out

Sometimes they have them out the back in the bit that you can't go in too, so it's always worth having a bit of a recon first.

With you on that, myself and Sotonboy 1977 found a Porsche 993 Turbo S, striped it bare and sold the lot on ebay for ££££ they thought it was a 911 Carrera Turbo? and had no clue of the value the parts had!
