What sort of money does a 500 engine command these days? Full engine minus plenum.

A good 500 complete generally fetches around £3k if you have time to sell. Plenums cheap enough to get hold of on fleabay.
If you have to get rid of one quick...less.

I'll have one for sale soon too.
Long block tho - block/crank/flywheel/rods/pistons/cam/vernir, not full engine, my(fresh)race spare.

So a short block.
When you say 'fresh' do you mean polished crank, new bearings, etc?
I could be interested at the right price if its crossbolted.

Could be a little less than £3k on the basis of this one for sale on race cars direct. Out of a Tuscan and claimed 400hp and only £2,500

They probably dont fetch much these days, Ive been trying to sell my own 5 litre engine, rebuilt on wild cam and adjustable pushrods etc etc for just over 3k and not had a sniff on it. 2.5k for that engine sounds a bargain though . you can pick up 4.6 engines on ebay for under a grand, friend of mine just bought one recently for 600 pounds .. no-one seems to want them these days.
