Damaged laminate floor

We have a new 'real wood' laminate floor and our meat-head of a builder managed to scratch it and then attempted to repair the scratch. Sanding has left it shiny around the scratch, which is still there and he also wet it which has left a darker watermark / stain around the scratch. The water doesn't seem to have dried out and shows up as it's a light floor.

Any ideas on how to repair the damage without causing any more. I'm not to fussed about the scratch itself, rather the stain.

Can you be more specific about the floor?

real wood? what sort? (and how thick is the top layer)

You may want to talk to the manufacturers - you'll need to use something compatible to cover it - so you need to know if its coated with a waxoil or a polymer varnish or whatever.

It's from Wickes and is light oak - layer of real oak on other stuff (can be sanded 3 times apparently), there's no oil or other finish.

I have assumed that the floor is 'clicked' together and not glued.
You can replace the plank if you have the confidence. Make two saw cuts up the length and width of the damaged plank about 25mm apart, you can then easily remove the damaged plank, do this with an EXAKT saw (PS150) or any other plunge saw that will allow you to plunge right through the plank. On the new plank, you will need to cut the bottom part of the groove away on the length and width of the plank so that you can insert it into the space. PVA glue will be required as you have cut the bottom grooves off. Good luck.
