Bathroom Build Thread
Discussion
Having lived here for a little while now I have finally finished the outside of house, garden and drive and so it's on to the inside. I held off doing the inside as the outside is a hell of a lot cheaper, 1 ton of gravel = £40, one bathroom mirror = £150!
I am lucky that my brother is a joiner and most of friends are tradesmen so they did me a good deal and I did as much as I could on my own. I found that by buyng all the items individualy I could save a fair bit so after many hours leafing through brochures - I am a nightmare at choosing things - I finally has everything stored in my kitchen so we could crack on.
Anyway, here is a photo of when I moved in - I did ditch the gold taps etc straight away but don't have any photos

All ripped out and first fix plumbing in

Shower control fitted and walls bonded ready for tiling

Bath, sink and furniture in

Bath panel still to be fitted

Walls need repainted to hide grout stains

Spotlights and fan to replace pendant and open window!

Just need to fit the mirror and give it a good clean!

Bath Panel fitted, LEDs in and whole place needing a good clean

Big thanks to my brother for putting up with my woman like inability to make a decision and his skill in putting it all together.
Thanks for looking.
Hopefully it won't take me quite as long to decide on what to do with my kitchen and sitting room...

Thanks for all the kind comments.
To answer your questions,
- the tiled walls were coated with something by the guy that re-skimmed the now painted walls, I just know it as bonding. Both the tiled walls are external walls so there is no plasterboard.
- I got the sink and concealed cisten toilet from ideal standard, can't remember the range but got a good deal from bathrooms 365 online. The bath came from homebase as they were they only people who I could find that offered a straight shower bath (the inside looks a bit like a keyhole and has really large standing area. Will never buy from there again though, took 5 weeks to arrive but had a chip out of it. They were happy to get me a new one but it would take another month, in the end I got a courier to pick one up from a branch 200 miles away. Work top and units are from Howdens and my brother cut it up to fit.
- shower controls on the wall were a great idea, although not mine! Plumber and brother decided that one for me. Did want taps in same place but couldn't find the above type bath without the holes being pre-drilled.
Howdens have a sale on so looks like it's kitchen next.
