Does an anyone know what sort of business or company would fit specifically an IP camera rather than a cctv camera? Local security firms around here want £2000 for a CCTV system!

any networking company as it just requires standard pc network cable unless its wireless then you could do it yourself! dont know how big a system you want if its small maplins do some good ones.

you may not be comparing apples there..
- all about quality of image.

anyway, remember you will need power too. If no local power source, you could just run power over Ethernet to resolve.

It probably would have been helpful to mention that it needs to be a disguised outdoor camera. I have looked at a few game/trail cameras and I suspect that's what I'm gonna go with, but it's difficult to find somebody who knows about IP cameras as opposed to CCTV. The chimp that came to look at the job offered to charge me £2000 for some recording equipment. He didn't even offer to buy me dinner or kiss me first . . .
