Right, I have some pennies burning a hole in my pocket and I want a new game. However, I like my racing games to have a lot of 'real' tracks and not really a massive fan of the racing dynamics of Forza (prefer the Grid race dynamics to Forza. Hate the rewind thing though! By that, I mean the bigger grids, the better crash dynamics etc) so I dont really wanna get forza 3.

Anyway, how good is race pro? What championships and circuits are there? Is Oulton Park on there? Are there touring cars?

Thanks,
Matt

I think you'll like it if you like Grid. The dynamics are different to Forza and it took me a while to get used to it after a year of Forza.

I did the career and a few tournaments. I found the Hard is very hard whilst the Medium a little too easy.

There's not as many cars as Forza but the 'touring' Alfa's and BMW's were excellent. I don't think Oulton is on there but I'm sure Brands is and Monza(rubbish memory!)

It can be a little juddery in places but I found it more realistic than Forza2.

It's only £14-99 on Play.com and well worth every penny IMO. smile

Yes Brands is the only UK circuit on it. All the cars & tracks on the game are on this link

The game itself is good however the graphics let it down compared to Forza. In addition the on-line aspect (which is how I always play) was terrible once you got anymore than 4 people in the lobby.

Worth a punt for 15 quid though.

While the game is a little buggy and there are not many cars, I love this game. The multiplayer racing particularly is awesome, it can be very close, and the physics are good. That said, it has been out a while now and there are fewer people playing it than their used to be. And I imagine that will drop off even more once F3 comes out.

I still play race pro. . Game is good, there were a bunch of us on here that used to have a regular Time Trial.

Online play is good i have never played on anything other than hard with all assists switched off.

I've had more online fun with Race Pro than any other race game, proper good fun and the vast majority of people I've raced against had good race etiquette, Grid is more of an arcade race game, and chances are if you just want a fun race game it might well be a good choice.

THank you for all your comments smile

I went out and bought it yesterday adn I really like the handling of the cars, the graphics could be improved up on, as could the damage engine and the fact that when yo touch wheels with anohter car in a caterham, all you do is spin. Where as you would usally go up and over the top!
