Has anyone got this? I caught the advert for it last night saying something like 700 cars and 30 tracks, yet I've read reviews that say it pretty much sucks.

Has anyone had any first hand experience?

Haven't got it ...yet, but all the reviews I've read have slated it because of the lack of a 'career mode', which is something I really don't care about on a 'mobile' game. So I will be getting it.

Oh and the randomness of the car availability seems to suck.

I am hoping that my copy will be delivered tomorrow. I'll have a play and report back if it's any good.

All the reviews are bad as there is no career mode as said above^, but take that out the equation it's ment to be good.

Saw it in the shops today, and somehow didn't buy it.

Part of that is down to not having a PSP - sold it over 6 months back figuring that GT would never see the light of day on the PSP.

So I'll just have to go and buy another blasted PSP ..... don't care about the lack of a career mode - just want to race, maybe win, buy cars and have some fun shaving tenths of a second off my lap times!

SWMBO is going to want to kill me - I told her yesterday that a PSP with GT would be a great birthday present, but there's no way that I can wait until the end of november with an itch like GT that absolutely *needs* to be scratched.

Wondering what other games are worth getting at the moment?

Seen Resistance: Retribution, and I both of the PS3 versions (yet to complete the first, but the second was waaay too easy), NFS Carbon looks fun, and would have to get the Ratchet and Clank one.

Well I had 5 minutes on it in the shop, which persuaded me to complete my pre-order of a PSP Go!, trying to download it now...

I'll get this over the weekend. As there's no online leaderboards on this are we going to get a GT PSP leaderboards thread? Not sure how it will work, maybe fastest times per track, are cars in classes in the game?

I've now bought a PSP.

And a memory card.

And GT.

And am waiting impatiently for the battery to charge enough to update the firmware. No matter how hard I stare or shout at it, it doesn't seem to charge fast enough.

I need my portable GT fix asap!

Gah, in order to get my free download, I have to download some theme tune, then wait for an email to be sent to me "within 30 days". GaaahhH!!!!!!! bds!

Also the "4 free downloads" that the shop promised me are actually 3, and I have to do some sort of really complicated process involving my old PSP, 3 different games and logging in and out of PSN 15 times. bds!

43% charge.

Still not enough for the firmware update.

This is like waving a freakin' needle in front of an addict saying "can't have it, can't have it".

I have it.

It does sort of have the aspects of career mode as in you have to earn money by doing challenges and special races to buy cars etc...

The challenges are akin to the licencing feature of the old game.

The car selection is awesome and the frame rate it brilliant too.

It's pretty addictive and could last a long time.

Also, you can transfer your garage to the PS3 version when its finally released...

I've just bought this, well traded NFS: st and have to say it's pretty good, as said previously the frame rate is great, everything zips past smoothly and the cars are modelled nicely. They seem to handle well too, can hold some nice slides which I've never been able to do properly in any other GT game. Also the exhausts pop and bang on the overrun which is good to see and hear. So far I'd give it an 8/10.

Does it have ghosts in the time trial mode?

If it has ghosts, decent cars, runs well and handles like any true GT game then this could be an excellent travel companion.
Yes ghost laps feature.
