Hold cursor over thread for first few lines...

On other forums I have been on when you hold the mouse over the topic name, the first sentence or so pops up for you to read to save clicking on stuff you don't want to see...

PH should have that too. This forum seems a bit rough around the edges with submit post text very plain and not nice to read and it seems to vary...

Doubt it'll happen but anyway.

I guess people need to remember that PH was written from scratch, and is not a hack of an existing BBS.

I didn't know PH was written from scratch or even what that really means compared to what ever BBS is. I'm sure it's simple for you but when I look at a website I see words and pictures not code like Neo

I wandered over here to ask the very same, it really is lacking.

You can keep your avatars and sigs, I really don't see the point of post counts but the only thing I've ever asked of PH is 'hoveroverandpreviewreveal-o-tron' to be installed.
