Are there any stainless exhausts for the S1 that stay at or below the standard 98dB noise level?

I have a Janspeed Roadsport which I'm very pleased with. It was 91db but has crept up to 95db as my sports cat is slowly dying... Edited to say, this was measured by Goodwood.

With a standard cat I'd be surprised if it was over 90db. When I first got it and my sports cat was fully intact, it make driving round town and on A roads louder, but was still drowned out by tyre noise on the motorway. Just to give you an idea of the volume.

I've a Blueflame/Motobuild one and it consistently measures 92/93dB at 4k rpm.

I had a magnex twin 3" round and that passed Goodwood's 98db.

Thanks for the info folks. So, quietest first we have:

Janspeed Roadsport 91dB
2ubular 92dB
Blueflame/Motobuild 92/93dB @ 4K
Larini Clubsport << 98dB
Magnex < 98dB

Check on prices... the Janspeed is £367 + 1.48 for a gasket (why don't they just include it at that price????) and the 2ubular is £465.30. Blueflame is £327 from ebay.

(edited as I mistyped the original, I think the std exhaust might be 89dB but can't recall how that's measured)

Hi - my standard exhaust was measured at 84db at Goodwood a couple of years back. I remember because a Nissan Micra went through the test before me and was louder! The noise testing guys told me to "sort it out".

Don't forget that lots of things affect the noise measuring. Even comparing results from Goodwood, the 2bular may actually be quieter than my Janspeed Roadsport.

The best thing about 2bular is that they are all made to order, and you can discuss what you want from the exhaust with them. The build quality is also phenomenal by all accounts...
