For my other half, she has a Creative Zen V+ which is on its last legs, she borrowed my Sony and thought the sound quality was amazing and really liked it, are the current NWZ range still good?

She only really uses it at the gym.

Thanks!

Down the gym, the only choices that I'd consider would be :
2nd Gen Shuffle
3rd Gen Shuffle is a maybe if you can live with only really having the Apple 'phones available
Sansa Clip - just a tad bigger than the 2nd Gen Shuffle, but with a rather nice screen and a radio

For me its way more convenient to clip the player to some clothing than having one of those armbands.

Another possibility is to use a mobile phone and a pair of A2DP headphones.

Hi t84. I realise that the Gadget show on CH5 has come in for quite a lot of stick from some on here (sometimes quite rightly!), but they did a test on mini mp3 players, to use at the gym, the other day - see here for video

http://fwd.five.tv/gadget-show/videos/jon-test/min...

and this player won

http://fwd.five.tv/gadgets/audio-video/portable-au...

May be worth a view of the video even if the "experts" on Gaget Show are not always 100% right!!!

Cheers, Jon smile

I've just bought a 3rd gen shuffle and I love it, I can clip the unit to whatever and don't even realise it's there and then I can control everything from the headphone controls which sit just above collarbone height biggrin

looking at the sony walkman, admittedly more for the car than the gym, but suspect it will work ok in the gym

16 gb drag and drop seems pretty good, sony centre in stevenage might have lost a sale for not bothering to email me some answers

The thing is, I have a NWZ818, and it's beautifully built and sounds excellent, so I presume the 1050 will be more of the same.
