Good question... wasn't there a rumour that he will be sitting in one of the Listers or something ?

Sorry, I'm going to steal the topic:
Why doesn't TVR use the speed eight in those championships? (ok, they use it in the Tuscan challenge but is it "enough"?)

Thom, read the blurb in www.pistonheads.com/tvr/cerbera

It explains (allbeit not in great technical detail!) shy the Speed 12 is more suited to the racing. It's mainly to do with the breathing of the engine. It was tried in the Colin Blower run car but the AJP8 can't produce the sort of power needed in the GT class.

So why did the officials install air restrictors if they knew it would send the car home?

Rules is Rules, and they apply especially to TVR, remember 420SEACs in the 80s?

What TV stations will be covering this series? I've always wanted to see this car in action but the most I've ever found were highlight clips on random sport review programs.

channel 4 have covered it for the last couple of years. I'm presuming they're doing the same again this year although I've not seen it mentioned yet.

Ted,
Will you use you influence and have a word with Mr. Burns and get him to paint the speed 12 in TVR purple again, it looked magnificent when it was purple but it looks shabby in black. I know it will probably come down to penny pinching but surly its good PR to have the car dolled out in company livery when it crosses the line in first place on national television?

I thought that the Speed 12 was painted black owing to the limited availability of purple gaffer tape.

Actually, a little birdy tells me that the car is in fact being repainted Chameleon Purple.

Correct me iof I'm wrong but isn't that the colour of the Original Speed 12 at the Motor Show?

PetrolTed, know anywhere that I can get some Cerbie Speed 12 brochures or info mailed to me? I've gotten info on almost every other TVR, but I want to complete the collection...thanks very much

Not sure TVR have done much in the way of glossies for the Speed 12. You may be able to get some postcards - one of the collectors will be able to tell you.
