Released this week I believe.

MMO in vein of "Fallout series"

Must admit, this is a perfect setting for an MMO. Playing Fallout always left me wanting more creative people to interact with......and who can be more creative than other human players.

Video looks interesting too;

Who can be more annoying than human players too?

Constantly begging for money, asking for advice on blindingly obvious things. Unless you go onto a specific role-playing server and really nerd yourself up, you've got all manner of cretins to deal with.

yup I'm in there!

Character is shivars, currently wandering around the South Burbs area.

Its good fun - I wanted an MMO that wasn't fantasy-style (WoW, Everquest..), and wasn't as insanely complex as Eve, and this is really fitting the bill for me; properly enjoying it.

It is a bit FPS-like but not quite as much as fallout 3 (its definitely an MMORPG first, FPS a distant second), but it does make a nice change to be aiming and shooting properly rather than lock to target, click to fire spell/cannon, rinse & repeat.

Its not without issue (some minor bugs, occasional lag), but the devs are responsive and the last update added/changed/fixed *loads* of stuff.

If anyone's planning on joining, enter code 9XVMK when creating your account and we "both become eligible for in-game bonuses".

there is unfortunately not a demo (yet)

its £30 on steam, but your point still applies!

Given that it only launched yesterday i'm sure there will be a demo in time, once the devs have settled the launch-time dust.

Never understand why these things don't offer a 10 day free trial or something, like Eve did.

Risk free - got me playing - got my money for a good while afterwards.

Dropping £40 on a random MMO isn't gonna happen, as lots of MMO's are really 2 dimensional in terms of gameplay.
