Hello all again,

I’m a little bit confused about the gearbox set-up…but thanks to the forum things are a bit clear right now…

I’ve got a couple of questions regarding the transmission.

1.- Has anybody used this shifter? http://www.cae-racing.de/shifter_porsche.htm If I´m not wrong it is for a G96 set-up.

2.- What are you thoughts about the clutch…I’ve been offered a twin plate carbon –carbon clutch with the gearbox package…but I’ve no idea what will be a better option for both street and road use.

Thanks in advance

Kike

Nice looking shifter and it includes a reverse lock out which is of value but not mandatory. I would compare it do the CMS shifter that I use and feel is a quality product. The CMS shifter is cheaper by a bit. Be advised that both these shifters become difficult to mount far enough back in the car so the your reach is correct because they interfere with the seats. I mounted my CMS shifter on a new mounting plate that I fabricated about a 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch narrower and this helped. If the (legs) on the shifter shown in your post come out to the edge of the mounting plate and if that is as wide or wider than the CMS shifter YOU WILL HAVE A PROBLEM. Hope that helps. Lee

Hello Lee,

If you have time, can you please post the measures of the CMS shifter base?.
The CAE RAcing base measures are 290x120 mm approx. which I think will fit between the seats...but I've not the seats already so I'm not 100% sure.

Thanks in advance
