Hey guys,

I'm trying to work out what I'm changing my car for early next year, and it's quite a leftfield choice but I think I've fallen in love with the Cadillac CTS (the 3.6 one, not the V...) even though I am neither a drug dealer or a pimp. And they seem exceptionally good value at the moment.

So my questions are these.

a) Does anybody have one? What do you think of it?
b) How does servicing work, I don't think I've ever seen a Cadillac dealership - do you just use Vauxhall dealers or Chevy dealers or something?
c) Am I too young to own a Cadillac wink

No, but you aren't nearly black enough... wink

Do it. I'd love something very leftfield for my next car... unfortunately insurance is (still! frown ) getting in the way of an E55...

But you forget, I'm lyrically black and it's hard to ignore, I've got no manners coz I eat with my fingers. Word to your mother laugh

It just hit me when I saw it that (as someone who normally loathes yank tanks) it's quite a striking looking car that you hardly ever see, and from the reviews is a good drive as well, just with somewhat sub-standard interior though still nice enough. It would make a change from teh usual 3 Series/A4/C Class default I think...

Plus it was in Bad Boys 2 (the Will Smith film, not the porno) which automatically makes it awesome. biggrin

Nope and Nope. The BLS is the Saab underneath, the CTS is a bespoke platform (Sigma I think) and RWD wink

And also in RHD. The LHD yank ones have softer suspension I think, the Euro model was honed in Europe and has firmer suspension etc. Apparently almost as good as a 530 which to my eyes is high accolade indeed.

Ironic - I am an old man on the outside too :\

That depends on whether you wish to join Ironic's previous club, the Worthing Salon Extremé, or our new club The Gentlemen of Leisure. He's moved on, you should too. Astons are absolutely the new MX5 Darling!

(That should upset people from both camps rather nicely biggrin)

Dammit the Cadillac will have to be a nogo - it's not fast enough frown

Someone in the office has bought an Evo 8 (260 I think) so in order to restore the honour of the PHSC Forum, I need to have something at least as fast frown

But it still has to be reasonably nice inside (which the Evo isn't)

Ideas?
