After following a 3200 up the M1 tonight, why on earth did Maserati do away with the "Boomerang" rear lights? They look fantastic and only add to the cars already beautiful appearance. There must be a reason?

It was due to pressure from the US market who didnt care for them too much.

...and who have no real appreciation for beautiful British and European design. Cars are simply status symbols here. Proof can be found on a stroll down Ocean Drive, Miami. There you will find Bentleys with over sized chrome wheels, 360Ms and Murcielagos with the same and just about any beautiful car ruined by the extreme lack of taste in the U.S.

Have faith though, there are real PHers in the U.S and I am fortunate enough to know a few.

The one design cue which really stood out when they released the car

A real shame they got rid of them and replaced them with about the most boring thing they could have (not really) though of!

One of the main reasons when I chopped my 3200, I did'nt buy a 4200!

Interestingly in the 4200 vs 645i back to back in Evo, I think the 4200 is beginning to look old. Mind you it never looked its best in Silver (few cars do IMHO).
