Xbox wheels

Hi,

Tempted by the MS wheel for the upcoming racers along with the wheelstand pro.

Question is, do you think MS will ever offer G25 support? This would be my preferred choice as I can use it on the PC when I buy one in the next year or so and it seems the best wheel out there. Would hate to by the MS wheel only for MS to then start supporting the G25.

I've got the MS wheel, it's very good and there are a few potential mods to make it better, such as the main wheel bearing and stiffening up the pedals.

I would buy a G25 in a heartbeat if it had Xbox support, I was waiting for the G27 to see if that would have support but it seems that it doesn't.
It's crazy that they didn't take advantage of FOrza 3 coming out to make the G27 Xbox compatible as it's my understanding that Forza 3 will have support for the Clutch pedal.

So what's going to be everyone's choice for Forza 3?

MS Wheel and Wheelstand Pro here - doesn't make me a better driver though!

One benefit will be when "in-car" at least the driver's hands (inputs) will be smooth, rather than the jerkier inputs made by the controller (although that could just be me being crap!)

I hate the MS wheel, it's the worst one since the Gran Turismo 3 wheel (original driving force), and is inferior to the original MSFF wheel in every respect.

The only option for the discerning Forza 3 driver is the Fanatec wheel. It's great for a PC wheel, works on both, and will be fully functional in FM3 (and should be fine for GT5 too).

It's a little harder to source, but if FM3 is good enough i'll make the switch, and ditch my G25.

I think it's down to MS that the G27 isn't compatible rather than Logitech, from what I've read the 360 uses a different input method to the PS3 and PC, but MS wouldn't let them have the firmware to code it. I think. Basically they need to make the 360 support that wheel, or offer the firmware to support the 360 to Logitech.

Yeah it does! And the fact that MS wont clearly state the reasons in my mind gives me no confidence that the day after I buy a MS wheel they release a patch or something to support a Logitech wheel!

I read that MS have an agreement with the manufacturer of the MS wheel that it would retain exclusivity...

However, I was in Game today and the MS wheel is only £59.99, which is a little bit cheaper than the £119.99 you can get the G25 for, never mind the G27 or Fanatec ones.

Ok, the MS wheel might not be the best, but for £60 it's alright!

Agree - I've got the 360 wheel and I like it, but I can see that there are other better ones out there. At £60 it's an essential Forza 3 accessaory! (My copy is on pre order! And it's the collector addition (accident by SWMBO when she reserved it - hey ho!)
