What's the average age of an S owner?

I had my first S when I was 30....17 years ago....I have not grown up one bit.

Besides, how can you get exited about new cars....they are mostly engineered to perfection, and soleless. Dynamically very competant, but dull.

I keep loosing track, 27 errr no thats not right.

I think the argument is fine for other classics but even the S is a relatively fast car and doesn't suffer the old man image (quite) as much!

27. When my car was made I remember watching Ayrton Senna win the World Championship! We had a Land Rover Series III with holes in the floor that you had to watch you didn't get sucked into at speed so I reckon this was a good starting point for TVR ownership...don't recall if I knew what a TVR was then though.

I'm 42 and got my current S3 6 years ago. Got my first S1 the day after my 25th birthday when the insurance became affordable.

Interesting.... I must say I'm a bit surprised at the relatively young ages given so far. I was 30 when I got my first TVR (an S2), now 41.

In that time I've had 3 S's and a Chimaera. Averaging that out, seeing as I've had my current one just over 2 years now I had better start looking for a replacement! Having said that I think my current fully sorted one will be with me for a long time to come.

Note to self: stay away from the classifieds Longers......
