No, not me, the Car

Ok, just wondered, the left hand side of the car seems to be about 1/2 inch lower than the right hand side (the wheel is closer to the wheel arch)

How can I check if this is the suspension, or the dampers (what are they !?!?) etc... to clarify.

The reason I ask is that the car had a helluva bump a few months ago, and I was told by the dealer that all it needed was new wheels and tyres, and the suspension was fine, though I thought it was a bit lopsided at the time, but given my superb mechanical and technical knowledge (see the question) I assumed they were correct.

The car scrapes when it goes down my drive now, and I am not sure if the suspect handling is due to this drop on the left hand side or the new boots (S03s) that the dealer fitted.. Also, would you take it back to the dealer (90miles away) as it was two months ago now

If the car was straight before the bump and is wonky after it would suggest something is bent! Is the car low/high at the front or back? which side? does this coincide with where the car was bumped?

well, it was Probably straight cause it didn't hit the drive before and was not something I had noticed. And yes, it happens to be the side that was impacted.
It is the front of the car too...
The back wheels seem about equal from the arch to the tyre, and a chap at the club meet thought it appeared to be listing a bit....

I had similar problem on my Chimaera, but I have just had new ball joints, upperwishbones (these were old style split ones) and polyflex bushings all round installed, all these parts were fairly or badly knackered before. Just for good measure I had adjustable GAZ shocks installed. Now handles like a go kart and corners so predictably and no more sagging to one side!
I guess on my car at least, it was either a ball joint or bushings causing the sag or both...

Loadofcods...

How much for the work you had done out of interest and where did you get it done?

Ball joints top/bottom
Track rod ends/boots
New top front wishbones
Polyflex bushings and Gaz adjustable shocks/springs all round
Suspension setup and alignment
and few other bits and bobs

Just over 2k at Tower View they gave me complete break down of the costs beforehand and I'm very pleased with the job they did. Completely transformed the car, unfortunately I'll have to wait another 4 weeks until I can drive it again as I'm back in Sweden :-(
