It happened a couple of years ago on the Skyline Drive just a bit south of Washington DC. It's a great road and well worth doing if you're in the vicinity, don't forget to drop by Luray Caverns while you're there. The road has a 35mph speed limit so I wouldn't have thought anyone could have got into trouble, but apparently if your right foot is too heavy when leaving the restaurant this is what happens !

Whatever you do don't lock your keys in your car while you're 3,000 feet up the mountains though ! Or if you do, think yourself lucky that you forgot to lock one door and can get back in !

I have seen the video of the blue vette before. Stephen Irons was there and said the guy that was hit was in a really bad way. The car was new as well.
